At Life of Wellness Counseling, we believe growth happens when you go beyond surface-level solutions. Whether you’re seeking deep personal healing, navigating life transitions, or reconnecting with your partner, our offerings are designed to help you move from insight to transformation.

Therapy Intensives

Deep Healing for When You’re Ready to Go Beyond Weekly Sessions

You’ve done the talking. You’ve done the work. Yet something still feels unfinished — like you’ve grown around your pain instead of through it.

Therapy intensives are focused, extended blocks of therapy time that create momentum and depth, giving you the space to pause, reset, and rebuild from the inside out.

Whether you’re navigating trauma, burnout, a major life transition, or co-parenting challenges, intensives offer immersive experiences for those ready to stop circling their pain and start breaking through it.

Our Signature Therapy Intensives

Ideal for: Women navigating loss, change, or emotional burnout.

The Co-Parenting Intensive

For navigating family systems with clarity and collaboration

Move from conflict to cooperation. Strengthen communication, build boundaries, and develop a parenting plan that centers your child’s wellbeing while supporting your emotional health.

Ideal for: Parents ready to rebuild stability and teamwork.

The Unravel Intensive

For trauma recovery and nervous system healing

Go to the root of trauma — the body, memories, and internalized beliefs. Release shame, integrate your story, and create safety within your body.

Ideal for: Clients processing trauma, emotional reactivity, or feeling “stuck on alert.”

The Empower Intensive

For burnout recovery and rediscovering your sense of self

Recover from giving everything to everyone else. Focus on emotional rest, boundary setting, nervous system repair, and redefining success from a place of balance and authenticity.

Ideal for: High-achieving women, caregivers, and professionals facing burnout or identity loss.

The Clarity Intensive

For navigating major life transitions with purpose and direction

Quiet the noise, reconnect with what’s true, and leave with emotional clarity, grounded next steps, and renewed confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a therapy intensive?

A therapy intensive is an extended, focused block of therapy—ranging from a single 2–4 hour session to a 3-day immersive experience. Intensives offer deeper healing than a traditional weekly schedule by giving you uninterrupted time to explore what feels stuck, unresolved, or overwhelming.

Who are therapy intensives designed for?

Therapy intensives are ideal for individuals, couples, and co-parents who feel they’ve “done the work” but still sense something unfinished. They’re especially supportive for trauma recovery, burnout, emotional overwhelm, major life transitions, co-parenting challenges, or couples seeking reconnection.

How do I know if I need a therapy intensive instead of weekly therapy?

You may benefit from an intensive if you feel:

  • traditional weekly sessions aren’t creating enough momentum

  • you’re circling around the same pain without breaking through

  • you need time and space to reset, process, or heal deeply

  • life transitions or relational challenges need immediate attention

  • you’re ready for meaningful change sooner rather than later

What issues can therapy intensives help with?

Based on your goals, intensives can support:

  • trauma healing and nervous system regulation

  • emotional burnout and loss of identity

  • co-parenting challenges and communication blocks

  • rebuilding self-trust and emotional clarity

  • relationship repair, reconnection, and safety

  • navigating major life transitions with grounded direction

What types of therapy intensives do you offer?

Life of Wellness Counseling offers six signature intensives:

  • Restore — emotional healing and self-trust

  • Co-Parenting — conflict-to-cooperation communication

  • Reconnect — couples repair and connection

  • Unravel — trauma and nervous system healing

  • Empower — burnout recovery

  • Clarity — direction during life transitions

How long is a therapy intensive?

Intensives are customizable. You can choose:

  • 2-hour session

  • 4-hour session

  • 3-day immersive experience (4 hours per day)

Your therapist will help you choose the right format during the initial consultation.

Do therapy intensives replace regular therapy?

Therapy intensives can stand alone or supplement weekly therapy. Many clients use intensives to make significant progress quickly, then return to weekly sessions with more clarity and direction.

Do you offer intensives for individuals, couples, or families?

Yes. Depending on your goals, intensives may include individual, couples, or family components. Your plan is customized to support your healing and relationship needs.

Are therapy intensives covered by insurance?

Insurance is not accepted for our therapy intensives. However, you can request a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement, depending on your insurance plan. View our insurance and payment FAQs here for more details.

Do I need to pay in advance?

Yes. All therapy intensives must be prepaid in full to reserve your session or multi-day experience.
